Frequently asked questions.

What kind of work do you do?

We mostly do ornamental and decorative pieces with functionality. Pot hangers, candlestick holders, brackets for shelves and the like. We produce custom and bespoke charcuterie boards, cutting boards, various wooden kitchen implements, and art from the finest of domestic and exotic hardwoods. We have done and occasionally get talked into blades and axes, though that is rare. We make tools, and We make art that can be used as a tool.

How much is ________?

Alright, so the big question. Everything has a cost, and usually things are expensive. The easiest answer I can give you is “Depends on ___”. Asking how much a knife is is like asking a mechanic how much it costs to rebuild an engine without giving him the year, make and model. In short, it really depends. Send me a message, we can work something out.

What can I buy now?

We make all kinds of things for sale- some big, some small. Things that we are happy with are listed on the Shop page here on the website, with a stock level appropriate to my current workload.

I also plan to list one-off custom items for sale as I make them- those will be first come first served and rare.

Do you do custom work?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is “depends on what you want made”. We have done custom forged work for kitchens, walls, and tables. We’ve made custom letter openers and knives (though Forged in Fire has ruined that for me), art pieces and other things that you wonderful people have come up with. Send us a message here or on our Facebook/Instagram page (Resolute Forge) and we can work something out.

How do I care for the cutting board you made for me?

We thought you’d never ask.
